Visitation and Donation of foodstuffs to Elijah Old Folks home & Orphanage home on 22-10-2012

5 members from Lioness Club of Simpang Rengam led by President Tan Hwee Noi visited the old folks & orphanage homes at Persatuan Kebajikan Elijah Misi Kulai. We donated foodstuffs (rice, garlic, onion, potatoes, ikan bilis, soap powder, sardine, canned beans, cooking oils, biscuits, dried chilli, flour, meehoon, salt, sugar etc) & clothes .

5 members from Lioness Club of Simpang Rengam led by President Tan Hwee Noi visited the old folks & orphanage homes at Persatuan Kebajikan Elijah Misi Kulai. We donated foodstuffs (rice, garlic, onion, potatoes, ikan bilis, soap powder, sardine, canned beans, cooking oils, biscuits, dried chilli, flour, meehoon, salt, sugar etc) & clothes .
The home have 43 male & female orphans at age 1 to 15 years old respectively. They stay separately in two terrace houses (rented), 12 women senior citizens stay in another rented terrace house. Most of the senior citizens suffered from diabetes, high blood pressure & sakit jiwa. The oldest old folk is more than 80 years old. All the senior citizens are Indian.
We are brief by Mr Raman (the person-in-charge) the monthly expenses for the home is RM 8,000 including staff expenses. They have to cook and serve food for 43 orphans and 12 old folks everyday. It is a large amount of expenses for the home.
Thanks to 3 donors (Ln Tan Tian Poo, Mdm Chong Beng Guat & Ji Gong Temple) who support this project in cash amounted to RM550 & in kinds.
